Mentorship can have a profound and positive impact on African American boys across various aspects of their lives. Our vision is to assist urban males from cradle to college to think smarter, perform better and live healthier.  We are committed to impact African American boys from the Cradle to College and beyond. Our vision coupled with mentorship makes an impact by providing  

Guidance and Support: Mentors provide academic guidance, helping mentees set and achieve educational goals, choose courses, and navigate educational challenges.

Personal Development: Mentors work to improved mentees self-esteem. Positive mentorship can enhance self-esteem and self-confidence, helping boys develop a strong sense of identity and purpose.  

Academic Achievement, Social and Emotional Well-being: Through engagement Mentors can inspire a love for learning and motivate boys to excel academically. Mentorship will offer a supportive and empathetic presence, helping boys navigate social and emotional challenges.

Positive Community Impact, Cultural Identity and Pride: As positive role models’ mentors serve as positive African American role models, fostering a sense of cultural pride and reinforcing positive cultural identity. Mentees may contribute positively to their communities, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Advocacy, Community Engagement & Resilience: Mentors can advocate for equitable opportunities and resources, working to reduce disparities in education and other areas. Mentors will encourage community involvement, fostering a sense of responsibility and the importance of giving back.

The long term aim of Raising Champions is to create safe spaces that break cycles of poverty and inequality, setting the stage for long-term success and positive generational impact.
